Made in collaboration with artistic duo Sarah & Charles and commissioned by the day-care centre/nursery located in Deerlijk.
After looking at several rooms, we were most intrigued by the garden. The spacious bare surface appealed to the imagination. We decided to bring the sleek white building and the garden to life, each with our interventions.
Hornbeam trees (Carpinus betulus) were planted in the garden with surrounding sculptures designed by Sarah & Charles named ‘Peanuts’.
My intervention enlivened the rear façade of the building facing the garden. With the façade that overlooks a side road, residents can admire the work as well.
